Dental Surgery
Dental surgery is a field of medicine focusing on the surgical treatment of oral cavity and surrounding tissues. As part of this specialization is performed a number of operations which support other fields of dentistry such as endodontics (root tip resections), periodontics (periodontal surgery), prosthodontics (pre-prosthetic surgery), and implantology.
Surgical Consultation
Removing a tooth (professionally called extraction) is a procedure which performance must be preceded by a thorough patient medical history, and must also be carefully planned and carried out. There are situations when a patient requires special preparation for surgery, or a postponement is necessary due to the specific local and general conditions.
Tooth extraction
Tooth extraction is a surgical procedure involving removing a tooth from the socket with use of the appropriate tools.
Complicated extractions
The complicated tooth extraction occurs when is necessary it to cut the gums and to remove part of the alveolar bone around the roots of the tooth in order to remove a tooth.
Surgical extraction of impacted tooth
Impacted tooth it is a tooth, which although completed development remains not heighted (may be completely invisible in the mouth or only partially visible.) This problem mostly concerns the “wisdom teeth”. Surgical extraxtion of impacted tooth is a procedure more complicated and requires more time than a simple extraction.
Excision of gum hood
The treatment involves the removal of part of the gum covering the tooth crown of heighted tooth. It is made very often in a case of difficulties concerning heighting of eighths teeth.
Incision of the abscess
An abscess is formed during an infection, develops as a result of bacterial activity, which found favorable conditions for them in tissues. Our immune system defends itself against foreign microbes by sending white blood cells to the focus of infection. Crude oil is a mixture of live and dead white blood cells, enzymes and destroyed the local cells. An abscess is formed when oil has nowhere to drain. Abscess, which does not break or will not be scored may lead to a generalized infection through blood, which seriously threatens the health and human life.
Plastic surgery of the frenulum
Frenulum of lip and tongue are strips of tissue connecting a ip or a tongue to the alveolar apophysis. Frenulum may be attached incorrectly, what is often associated with abnormalities such as the frenulum located too close to the teeth, too short or too fat, have a damaging influence to the periodontium, dental aesthetics, teeth setting and maintenance of removable dentures. In children, plastic surgery of the frenulum of tongue allows for proper moving of the tongue and preventing the development and perpetuation of speech defects. Using a small incision within the frenulum decreases tension in too short frenulum.
Resection of the tooth apex
If a tooth root canal treatment (endodontic treatment) is impossible and form a lesion in the bone surrounding the root or root canal filling will be pushed through, or a tool will break, then the only way to save a tooth is root apex resection. Resection is a procedure involving the removal of a root apex. This treatment in most cases allows to save a tooth from the extraction.
